A Bright Sunshiny Day

It's been a beautiful day here! A clear blue sky, sunshine, and snow melting so quickly we could hear it run through the eaves troughs. Not bad for mid-November at all.

We attended virtual church this morning (who'da ever thunk that this would be the norm) and took the pups for a walk in the sunshine this afternoon.

In between, I made a pot of chicken soup and Gerry dug out the Christmas lights. I had to laugh when he came up from downstairs wrapped in lights so they wouldn't tangle again and asked me to open the front door for him because his hands were full.

It's little moments like this when we share a laugh that makes life rich. I need to pay more attention so I don't miss them.

  1. We changed churches because our former church was still doing online services and it just wasn't working for hubby and me. We wanted to be in person so we found a church meeting in person that we enjoyed attending. They asked for masks to be worn but about 3 weeks ago said their morning services would be masks optional but their Saturday night service would require masks. We've continued to go Sunday mornings :) Our former church finally opened end of October but we like where we are going now so we'll stick there for the time being :) Glad the weather was nice! I remember those November snows when we lived in Montana. It was nice when they didn't stick around for very long :) Your hubby looks cute with the Christmas lights around him; you are right we need that humor to get through these days :)

    1. We can use as much humour as we can find these days, I think. The challenge is to keep my eyes open for it and not get bogged down by all the muck.

  2. Our church has opened for a limited number of parishioners, but the Archdiocese is still live streaming Mass. Since we have now upgraded to a mask mandate in most large centers here in Saskatchewan, I don't really think it will be long before the groups allowed into the church are even smaller.

Aww cute picture of hubby wrapped in lights.

Thank you for dropping by my blog this morning. It is always nice to find new blogs to read and have new visitors.

    God bless.

    1. We're watching the situation across Canada right now and it won't surprise me if we're forced to cut back farther here in BC too. Thank you for coming by this morning, Jackie. Hope you're having a good day.

  3. We have attended in person church services twice since March. Sometimes the hunger I feel is palpable. Still, I'm grateful for the technology that allows us to gather virtually.
