It's the first day of winter. I looked out the window this morning at the green and was going to take a photo because it looked nothing like winter. It looked like we were in for a green Christmas.
Fast forward a few hours and this is the view from my window now. It's winter all right.
We just got home and I can attest to the awfulness of the roads. It would have been a good day to stay home but I had commitments both this morning and this afternoon.
Hunkering down now on this shortest day of the year and feeling somewhat optimistic. The days will start to grow ever-so-slightly longer tomorrow. After today, it's downhill toward gardening season!
So pretty unless one needs to drive on it!

It looks like you'll have a white Christmas! Be careful on those roads. I hate driving in snow and ice. I hope you and your husband are well and enjoying the holiday season. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Bonnie!
DeleteIt certainly does look Christmasy. I'm in Ontario and we've had snow, lost it, had snow again, lost it. Things are currently looking quite green in places. Hopefully it will be a white Christmas. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm envious of your snow! It doesn't look like we'll be having a white Christmas this year. It's nice to think that soon gardening season will be within reach again:)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Linda!
I, too, am so happy to know that we have just had the shortest day of the year. Somehow it does seem that we're counting ahead to Spring now! In a couple of months, we could be back to green grass again! The snow is so beautiful, though, I have to admit!
